Slide Show You can create slide shows of your images with Fx Image Manager that can be played back in the included stand alone player. The slide show will step through the records in your database displaying each image full screen. Images that are larger than your screen resolution will be shrunk and smaller images will be stretched. The only user configurable property is the time delay between slide. The player will automatically load any FXDB files that are located in the same folder as the player. If no FXDB files are in the root folder a browse window opens. The player can also be run from a batch file or command prompt with the syntax "FxDBPlayer filename.fxdb". The stand alone player is located in the DB Player folder beneath Fx Image manager. You may distribute it and your database files (*.fxdb) freely to your friends an family. You can also download it from HERE.
In most cases the EXE will run without installation on Windows 2000 or higher operating systems. If there are non-database errors during startup you can download the installer HERE. Database errors are caused by missing technology or components on the user's computer. In particular Microsoft's Advanced Data Objects (ADO) which is part of Windows 2000 and XP. You can download MDAC from the Microsoft web site for older operating systems HERE. The database is fully Microsoft Office compatible using the Office 2000 and higher tools. The image field is an Ole Object.
For troubleshooting data access errors download the Microsoft MDAC component checker utility HERE. |
